MedGadget: 2008 Medical Weblog Awards :Finalist :Best Patient's Blog

Oh my gosh, wow! I just read a comment that told me my blog is a finalist! thank you!
i've been to the doctor, who is taking one thing at a time and that is a back spasm that was from a skidding on the ice car incident where i hit a curb hard, and doc says it's a pinched nerve and muscle weakness, gave me a muscle relaxant, told me she will mri my brain if i am worried about MS but she doesn't think it is MS; and, she said to wait to talk about lamictal until the back is worked out, so there are not 2 things happening at once to rule out. she said to keep up the vitamins/and vitamin c as i do for the CFS and i'm dealing with the fatigue. the good news was i lost 8 lbs since september and the walks have been good for me, my blood pressure was normal now. she (like my best friend) told me i escalate into worry too much for my own good.(yes, yes, yes). so for now it's the immediate back/leg spasm treatment and then take it from there.

From MedGadget:

"After a careful analysis and consideration, we are pleased to present the finalists of the 2008 Medical Weblog Awards. But first, a few notes.

Voting will begin tomorrow. We will have instructions, voting booths, and further details here at Medgadget.

Lastly, we would like to thanks everyone for taking the time to nominate their favorite medical blogs. As our judging committee went through the dozens of weblogs in each category, we enjoyed looking through so many fascinating sites, some known to us, some recently born, but all dedicated to the advancement of the science and art of medicine. We know firsthand that each blog is someone's labor of love, and that blogging is both labor intensive and a very personal experience, and as such, we took the job of selecting the finalists very seriously.

And now, the drum roll... PLEASE MEET THE FINALISTS!"

Oh a big congratulations to you for being a finalist! How does one vote for people?

You do have a phenomenal blog and you always write with such heartfelt honesty.

Was wondering if you might come over to read one of my latest posts on a fairly serious subject. I would be honored if you had any insights to share. Here is the link:

Hi Lisa, great to see you here, I've been slow in reading the last couple of days and the muscle relaxant has knocked me out at night (helps insomnia i guess!)
