It's been a long time this call for action is going on.
It's beyond my comprehension why nothing is done.

Exactly my thoughts Ana. If MindFreedom hasn't been able to help completely stop Ray's forced treatment, it really leaves me with less hope anyone can ever get help or advocacy.

Stan still has no attorney too. MindFreedom's attorney they recommended said he was retired. It's like a brick wall, people are needing representation and there are no legal professionals willing to step up and help.

we need a Jim Gottstein in every town and several in large cities!!

I cannot even count how many attorneys I and Stan have contacted, we get lists of names from them, and then more lists of names, --I have decided none of them ever work! the ones who specialize in workman's comp want a case to make big bucks (like one attorney told me, arms and legs missing or dead for representation)and their are virtually NO wrongful termination/discrimination attorneys.

I haven't seen that Gianna and Stan was talking. I can't listen - speakers don't work.
This is all absurd!
Brutal.

I gotta ask: what's up with the candy bar tip??? My laptop's gone belly up so I'm using a non-sound equipped machine, thus unable to listen. But I'm soooo curious about that candy bar reference...

Sherry,

David Oaks said that no food before an ECT; so some patients get out of the treatment by either eating a candy bar or having a wrapper in their hand so doctors won't do it. It was a "tip" of how to avoid ECT (forced?) by now I would hope Ray Sandford's advocate stuck a reese's wrapper in his hand!

I'm disappointed about Ray's advocacy, because he still receives treatments and the woman representing Minnesota said she couldn't rally ppl together for a protest! ugh!

Maybe I will listen to it again and write up the transcript of the show.

Wow. That's a really good tip. Although the nimrods doing mental "health" in this country are so inept and bent upon getting their own way (and our money) that I wonder if you can count on this working more than a time or two. It's definitely worth a passive-aggressive shot or two, though. Thanks.
