Hi Stephany!
Thanks for the link!
I am mortified with how frequently I see the Abilify TV ads! People, in general, do not realize the "drug class" of this drug. Many I have spoken with think Abilify is a new "miracle antidepressant"... due to how it is portrayed on TV.

I do not understand how/why this is allowed to go on. (Misleading psychopharmacologic ads all over the TV.)

I do realize the drug companies want people with stubborn depressions to request Abilify by name. Yet, so often people have little or no idea of exactly what they are requesting!

We all must be so very careful of what we "ask for!"

All doctors should be following the "First do no harm" oath!

Again, whatever ever happened to "fully informed consent?"

I hope you have an enjoyable day today, Stephany! :)

Thanks hopeful heart; be sure to click on my "abilify" label here for some of my abilify posts, that includes my photo of a DTC ad on a phone booth of Abilify in Seattle

Hi Stepahny!
Thanks! I'll be sure to look at all of your Abilify posts! You have some amazing pictures! I had not before seen a telephone booth used for an AAP advertisement... until I'd seen your pics of such! Unbelievable! It is so difficult to accept that this has been, and is going to be, allowed!
(I don't recall having seen Thorazine...and similar older AP/neuroleptic meds being heavily advertised like this!)

I hear people without any history of need for psychopharmacological medication (and now in their 50's, and up through their 80's) saying they think they need Abilify, Seroquel, or other AAP meds. They do not think these meds are AAP meds. They think these heavily advertised meds are "harmless" because they see them so frequently advertised in so many different ways! They think these meds are as "potentially harmful" as acetominophen, other OTC meds people tend to use without giving the med use much thought.

So many people requeting AAP meds, by name, even when they have no history of a potential need for these medications.
I find this frightening, and so much more!

Thanks again!
Take Care!

I am experancing serious side affects that I only recently discovered are most likely due to my past use of Abilify (info provided by the recent onslaught of Abilify TV adds)

As The adds claim my symptoms may be permanent! and this is very frightening to me! What my options might be are unclear! can sombody advise if I should sue or search for a class action?
