Dr.Wayne MacFadden, former U.S. medical director at AstraZeneca, makers of Seroquel is one of my site's daily top Google searches, via 'Wayne MacFadden' . The company searching the most times is Johnson&Johnson, makers of the antipsychotics Risperdal, Invega(cheap knock off version of Risperdal)and Haldol (the standard part of a B-52 injection in psych wards to shut people up, or "calm them down", usually forced)and the long-acting injection, Risperdal Consta.
Dr. Wayne MacFadden is at the heart of the Seroquel sex scandal for alleged promises of sexual favors for exchange of competitor information for the antipsychotic Seroquel, AstraZeneca's $4million dollar plus cash cow for the year 2008.
It causes some speculation as to why Johnson and Johnson, makers of Risperdal, a competing product for Seroquel is so interested in Dr. Wayne MacFadden. Do you wonder if Wayne MacFadden now works for Johnson and Johnson, and during the years he was medical director at AstraZeneca, he was promising sexual favors for information from Johnson and Johnson's products? Risperdal, Haldol, Invega and Risperdal Consta?
Do you wonder what the allegations mean to Johnson and Johnson's bottom line now? Now that the company has been hit with a $4.5 million dollar fine for mailings that mislead doctors on the use of the antipsychotic Risperdal?
The antipsychotic that was prescribed to my 11 year old daughter in 1999, not approved for children at that time, that caused her eyes to roll straight up in her head and become stuck, lose all color in her face, have respiratory distress?
FROM the article at Furious Seasons:
"West Virginia sided with the state's Attorney General over allegations that J&J/Janssen had sent misleading mailings to doctors in the state, ones that made misleading claims about Risperdal and, separately, J&J's pain patch Duragesic.
The court assessed a fine totaling $4.475 million. The Attorney General had sued J&J/Janssen in 2004." and, "'The wording of [the defendants’] November 2003 Risperdal letter was intentionally constructed to modify the FDA’s warning language and mislead healthcare professionals, who rely on this information when prescribing medication for their patients.'"

Who you going to trust you say? Ghost Busters!! I'm justa kidding. I think it's great your a thorn in the side for these money grubbers. Keep on keeping on. I also think it's great that your coming out of the funk of depression and walking more and more. Koda told Indy that he was glad too.
Maybe I can start getting more hits on my site if they type in the search engines there checking under "Fans of Stephany".
Oh was it a huge walk at a fast pace yesterday and today, I'm taking advantage of the lack of pain!! :)
