Why The FDA Should NOT Approve Seroquel For Depression And Anxiety: by Philip Dawdy, journalist, author of Furious Seasons site

Philip Dawdy provides this written testimony to the Psychopharmacology advisory committee to the FDA regarding the pending approval of AstraZeneca's Seroquel XR for depression and anxiety, based on his personal experience and extensive reporting and research of the drug.

Take a look, it's worth reading and contains important information on why antipsychotics that are dangerously being over-prescribed, should be monitored and remain used for extreme reasons in my opinion, Seroquel is America's newest bad ass drug, easily abused and full of side effects that do not outweigh the risk for taking it.

I was prescribed Seroquel off-label for insomnia in 2006, had horrific nightmares, (torture/murder)gained weight, and suffered extreme body withdrawal symptoms when removing it. I personally will never take it again, ever.

I, too, will never take Seroquel again. This past weekend, my sister came to visit and brought her 8 yr old grandson. The kid is ON SEROQUEL. I spent a large part of the visit trying to explain to her why he should not be on Seroquel. I just don't understand why in this day of computers and instant info, people do not research drugs that affect their/their kids' brains.

BTW...Steph...don't tell Stan but there is something "not quite right with him". LOL

I emailed her my testimony yesterday and she responded today. Regardless of the outcome it is extremely refreshing to know our voices will be heard!!!
