good allowance day

no words since that one day a while back, though when i call her on the phone she does say "hello" and "bye". it's a nice spring day, not too warm and it's sunny. i took her to buy a mothers day card for my mom, and then she went to the post office with me to mail it, and she ate lunch inside a restaurant with me, which is really a big deal. though today she was a little freaked out about the car having pollen granules all over the door handle (really yellow and grainy). she had a look on her face and i explained it was just pollen, and opened the door. at the river front park she drank a cold chocolate milk and there was a person walking a dog, trees blooming, and 2 teenagers playing calm guitar music. the bright green leaves on the trees were glistening in the sunlight, and it was overall a very pleasant day. i found myself feeling content today, like i was able to "just be".
