At This rate in 6 months she might even be able to straighten out UPS!

when she signs paperwork for her ssi allowance on thursdays she has been scrutinizing the books ha.

before all of this decline happened--she was a book worm, high school gpa 4.0 and never stopped talking. a day like today doesn't mean all of that again--she's older now, and life is different--but today is a day i love for the way she is a living example of "hope" which that inpatient psych doc said she had "no hope". she had proven them wrong this entire time.

i am just happy she's having good days. she has a goal for going to the zoo and doing her daily life skills has been the requirement from me...the expecting more has totally increased her wanting to do more. i tell her i'm proud of her a lot and today felt quite like a regular old day, cleaning out the car, driving to blood test, she got an ice cream, etc.

High-five's and Hallelujahs!! (clearly the doctors don't know everything...not even the GOOD ones!).

Great news!!! You wait, this is just the beginning. Your patience and perseverance is paying off. I think it's funny she wrote the clean out the car comment. Did it work?

yep mark it worked lol i had picked her up for blood test (150 mile driving day yesterday)so we stopped and cleaned it out and it was her candy trash on the floor to boot lol.

then making her bed was putting it all together with bedding and she was very maticulous about it being neat looking. she also got out an "idea" list for shopping i had written last week that she saved and today is allowance day: she pointed she wants to buy a cd headset. she loves music, and this is all a good thing, she's active again, doing something more than usual and self care bumped up..is all adding up for positive.

i'm so tired after yesterday, i woke up with drool on my chin. lol that's life in the lane of never giving up--hard work and determination! and a little drool now and then hahahha

Dear Steph:

The long journey to home and self is made one miraculous step at a time. It's great to hear Liz has allowed the world in once more in voice. Now each step will be filled with the sounds of hope and the song of faith as she walks toward the coveted destination of independence and true awakened self.

Yours truly,
Stan
