i found this funny cartoon at kristi's blog and had to have it! not that i am having any of those menopausal descriptions or anything! lol kristi writes about life with her adorable autistic son. so far today, i've drank coffee, made omelettes with guacamole and parmasean cheese, ate a piece of chocolate cream pie and used some of the cream on top on my coffee, and hopefully the walk later will burn off all of that! yesterday we tried to find ducklings and goslings at the lake but so far haven't seen any, except we did see ducklings at the zoo in a pond. oh yes and the dog has had his kibbles mixed with bacon pieces, and he has sufficiently gotten into trouble, by ripping up his blanket and digging in the kitchen trash can. have a good day/evening!
*i also found this ticker on her blog, and being the mature woman that i am i now have a countdown to my 50th ticker!

Dear Steph:
Isn't this a little like counting down to the Grim Reaper knocking at the front door.
Maybe you should menopause for a moment, and rethink this meter thing?

oh stan be he ye of little faith LOL
Save up for some roller skates. Because once you hit 50 it's all down hill. Time speeds up and all you can do is hang on. That Omelet sounds good except for that green stuff you put in it.
speaking from experience eh Mark? lol i hope you put my b day on your calendar so you can send me some of that famous meat sauce mmmm lol
Hi Stephany,
Omelettes and avocado and parmesan sounds yummy so does the chocolate cream pie.
50 is a good time, I had a great birthday party for my 50 in 2001 it was brilliant we drak lots of sparkling wine and Richie made heaps of food.
Life gets better at 50.
Love,
Herrad
That sounds like a great party Herrad! I love avocado and will eat one every day if I have them! I have an avocado pit growing an 8 inch or so tree with 6 leaves in my kitchen. It is from an avocado from my Dad's tree, that I brought home from his funeral jan 08.
Thanks for telling me life is better at 50
xo
Steph, Go for 50 girl! Some folks never make it!
Stephany,
I started saying "I'm 50." months after my 50th birthday.
I guess it's the same kind of reaction.
It's a little scary this "half century".
I guess you must be saying to yourself "I was 25 last month and 40 last week. FIFTY? Say what?"
The thing is not the 50.
When I think that in ten years, it flies, I'll be 60...?
Live. That's what we have to do.
I guess that when we arrive there there will be another way of seeing it all.
Zoom, Zoom,....
