happy mother's day

here is wishing everyone a happy mother's day! this is the first mother's day since about 2005 i will be with 2 of my 3 daughters together for mother's day. the last few years have been difficult as my readers know, and this is a shining moment based on hope and never giving up. though i've been sick all week with the nasty flu that's going around and sound like a raspy lounge singer or minnie mouse! (feeling quite miserable!) the sun's out today so that helps! i know i will be enjoying my kids company today and tomorrow.

but thanks are in order here now because tomorrow wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for a dear person who has stepped in to support us and work with my youngest. this person has single-handed been able to bring my youngest around to the here and now. using humor, patience and professional skills my youngest has been going places with us, eating in restaurants, has said a 3 word sentence, and she appears less burdened. it's not easy and yet the support is helping to bring around a young woman i basically lost. the gift that has been given to me as a result and to her and my kids is enormous, i have gratitude that words cannot express.
