wednesday ramble

i have wednesday's off from work and i will be checking in on my daughter and take her out. the concern in a heatwave such as we are having (temperatures in the 90's ) is that she needs a lot of prompting to drink water and wear cool clothing. it's my main concern for her health on days like this, and it concerned me while at work so it will be good to see her and check on how she has handled it. the heat was incredibly stifling yesterday and will be the same today and tomorrow, now shifting walking to morning today. last wednesday on my day off it was clozaril blood draw day so it was a lot of driving (120 miles) i've been enjoying getting back to work and the principal (my boss) reviewed me and told me the report is "glowing" and said it was good to have me working there. that was good! also yesterday (drum roll) i wore a pair of pants saved that i bought too small and they fit! with spare room too! walking my way down to a physically fit person is a freeing experience, though of course we know it gets grueling at times and i cry on trails. lol the heat made it difficult to drag my arse around in the evening, so the morning (now it's already 60 here and that is a typical high temp for this time of year) has high hope of a pleasant walk to start the day. here i go!

How long in time are your walks? How long is the trail in distance?
Just curious...

Congrats on fitting into the small pants.

How fortunate that your schedule has changed so you can spend more time with your daughter. You are both still in my prayers.

How great to see comments from all of you when i got home! thanks!

today is still so HOT ugh, it was 92 while we took her on a country drive and stuff. it was a 2 ice cream day!

the walk is from 60 to 90 minutes, and averages about 3 miles, in wooded areas and around a frog /duck pond and 2 small lakes. it was nice this morning getting out before the heat, and i may try it before work tomorrow, which means out about 6 45 am approx so i can get ready to go on time to work.

my daughter isn't wearing clothes to keep her cool, still has on long sleeves, there's only so much i can do talking about it.

she knows to sign for her money for thurs allowance day (SSI)w/out me again, and last week she signed so hopefully she will keep that piece of independence down now.

thanks for all of the comments, it's really nice.

Congrats Stephany on fitting into the smaller pair of pants! I have a whole closet full of clothes that are one size too small that I'm working to get into. My fat pants are a mite too big now, but I still can't get into the next size down.

It's in the 100's here and my 5 a.m. walks are in the 70's so I wish I could be sympathetic of your heat, but instead I'll just have to call you a whiner, lol. I still cry some days too, but it's worth it to get fit, isn't it?!

Fantastic. I know what you mean about crying. Matt and I were walking the other day and I wanted green tea but I cried twice on the way. I think it's Cymbalta withdrawal since I'm off of it, at least for now.
