Top hits from 2009
FROM antipsychotics
and talk show hosts
to a baby's Paxil heart defect,
needing to know how to monitor Depakote blood levels
and remembering a DTC walk down memory lane,
being the captain of my soul
and wanting to know why Pharma spent $1.2 million a day lobbying congress,
having golden moments and magnificent days
and hearing my daughter start talking and singing and laughing again
holding onto hope for her future, and standing alongside her fighting for her rights and dignity. I hope the best for everyone, in this new and Happy New Year.
Cheers!

Here's hoping for great things for you and your baby girl Steph!
<><
I discovered your journal in 2009, so for the year of 2009, I thank you for sharing your life, photos of Lindsy, and the serendipity dog. She was a lovely child, and now she is growing into a beautiful young lady.
For the parents of this world who care, it's a given what we go through, how we suffer when our children suffer.
At the cost of sounding a bit sad and maudlin here I often dwell on the helpless children and animals who have no voice. I think back to that sad song Karen Capenter sang, (Bless The Beast And The Children) and this part of the paragraph so reminds me of your plight with Lindsy.
Light her way
When the darkness surrounds her
Give her love
Let it shine all around her.
I picture you Stephany at the end of a long dark tunnel, holding up a brightly lit flare, encouraging Lindsy to walk towards you, assuring her that you are there for her.

thank you Barb, you just made my eyes tear up with that light being held at the tunnel...thanks for the song too
