just to go outside

unbelievable the song and dance that happened when we asked about a treatment plan and outside time. not sure the social worker who introduced self, then said she is quitting anyway ever had intelligent advocating questions asked of her, actually i don't think this place is used to treating people with basic dignity and civil rights, that's for sure. once you arrive you get slapped with a 6 month, yes, 180 day new court order to reside there for care. no jury, no free attorney. no advocate. no wonder people give up. the basketball court is not available to the ward she is on according to the social worker, so because there is not a locked outside area she is punished and not given fresh air, and she is not the only patient there. this is a warehouse for throw aways in society, would anyone know this place existed if i hadn't decided to write about it? i was there 4 years ago with her when another hospital sent her there because she turned legal adult age 18. she was there 21 days and returned mute for 3 years. i went outside with her to play basketball then, because i demanded she get the same right as smokers to get outside. this is probably the last place in washington that allows smoking on the property, i'm shocked the nanny state hasn't landed on this place, but it won't because no one cares.



the Governor is closing long term facilities, people have no where to go, so they warehouse them at western. there are many more things my daughter deserves to have happen in her life and this being sent to western is an apology letter time from all doctors, especially the ones who never set foot in this place.
