Matt has been writing about the adventures of creating an aquarium and posting photos of his new aquarium-- and he also posted a new book of the week. The book of the week is a children's book about a fish who can wish. I read the passage Matt posted this morning, before I drove to take my daughter to her Clozaril blood draw.

When we were waiting in the medical center, my daughter started to watch the tropical fish in the large aquarium in the waiting area.
Beautiful bright blues, and yellows.
One fish in particular was tucked away under a piece of coral.
I motioned to her that there was one hiding in the coral and he suddenly zoomed out, and zoomed around the tank whipping past the other fish. Her face lit up and she was smiling and then looked over at me and laughed at me, with a face she has when she is in her own special world of thought.
I laughed back, and asked her if she thought I looked like a clown fish or a puffer fish. She continued to smile and she watched the fish and then I remembered the story Matt had on his blog.
I said, "That blue fish reminds me of a children's book I read, about a fish who could wish.
The fish was not like any other fish in the world, he was a fish who could wish. He wished all day long, and one of his wishes was to be the only fish who can wish."
She watched the blue fish speed around the tank and watched and watched.

Then she was called in to do her blood work. When we left she looked over at the aquarium, and I said, "there is the only fish who can wish".

Sometimes, magical moments happen. To dream or wish to be someone unique, to be the only one.The only one of a kind. That is a wish worth having. My daughter smiled because of that story today, thanks Matt. --November 2008

I say savor the moments of the good days. Beautiful fish tanks are so relaxing.
"And to teach sharks a lesson, do you know what he'd wish?
That he was a shark, and the shark was a fish."
It's not only fish who can wish!
It's a lovely book... Korky does school visits, so I'm going to suggest it to my local primary school.
