christmas day the hospital gave her gifts. clothes and treats and a card she read out loud to us when we visited her. the theme of the card was faith and a journey.

Hi Stephany,
Good to read your daughter has been treated well over Christmas by the hospital.
I agree with Friko, you should always be hopeful.
Big hugs.
Keep warm and well.
Love,
Herrad

I just found this:

http://www.dshs.wa.gov/mentalhealth/wsh.shtml

Is that the place? It looks beautiful - I think I might move there! You know, with all that pastureland, you'd think that somebody would have the brilliant idea of fencing off a couple of paddocks for pastureland, offering them to local horse owners as grazing, but on the condition that the patients are allowed to pet the horses.

Stephany, My daughter just spent two years in a early symptom and treatment program for prodromal psychosis, but continued to deteriorate and they have pushed her out into mainstream care - which is barely adequate at best. We are from the Northwest but currently, due to my job, in the Northeast. I'm struggling with so many things emotionally in trying to find the best and right care for her. Long-term care seems to be a nightmare. I haven't been online much in my search but I've started; I found your blog and it's touched my heart. I too believe that we each make a difference...not2cold@gmail.com
