you look amazing

when i arrived she was sitting in the dining area coloring. i nearly had to take a double-take, because she looked, as i told her when she walked over to me, "amazing!". i have not seen her look so well in a very long time, her hair brushed and up in a pony tail, fresh clothes on and a shining face, she was content and continued to color away while we sat together in the visiting room. i brought her a soda and cookies, which she ate while coloring. she loves art and that has always been an outlet, and one staff working with her brought these in for her and there she went, the first time in months and months that i've seen her color and look so good. hot meals, and good care, so far it's far above my expectations, and actually better than the last hospital. keep the faith, ---it's going OK.
