VIA Furious Seasons:
Antipsychotic Use Doubles In America's Toddlers
"Need more evidence that America has lost its soul and that psychiatry has lost its mind? A study published today in the Journal of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (it's not online yet) asserts that twice as many young toddlers are getting antipsychotics as in the late-1990s. We're talking kids aged 2 to 5, getting drugs which have no approval for their age group."--Philip Dawdy

Another outraged mental health advocate speaks out:
VIA Big Pharma and Medicine wants to own your child from cradle until coffin for profit:
" I challenge every one to stop by your local county mental hospital. You will be astounded at how young the general populations are becoming, and this is only a warning shot fired into ominous night sky. The real carnage hasn't even reared it's true ugly head quite yet with the most fragile and defenseless populations, which are the Toddlers."-Stan

After witnessing my now 22 year old on antipsychotics for a decade, and seeing her unable to think with clarity, and appear to be similar to a stroke victim, watching her gain 100+lbs on Zyprexa, and having Risperdal nearly kill her at age 11, I am concerned for children that are innocent victims of possible body and brain damage. That is putting it mildly.
TARDIVE DYSKINESIA-permanent even after the antipsychotic is stopped.

This really makes me angry ... well, beyond angry. Our children are being seriously harmed.
Great post! Sadly, it's hard to convince people of the long term dangers when they only see the short term benefits.
Maybe this visual will help. It's called long term planning, and use with caution, at one's own risk. Toddlers of course have no choice do they?
