golden moments

there was a battle of the bands talent show at the high school, and one of my daughters played this song as a duet with a friend.

amidst the garage band sounds being blasted onto the stage for the audience's approval, came an unexpected brilliant golden moment. i was sitting in the audience with my youngest(of whom i write about here), she was about 13 yrs old. my oldest and her friend braved the stage fright and shyness factor, and walked out onto a dark stage with spotlights on each of them, as they walked out from both sides, joining in the center stage, and played their violin and viola (daughter played violin, and if i remember correctly her friend was viola) like there was no tomorrow. they had been in orchestra since elementary school, and were about to graduate high school. this was their shining moment, and at about 2.11 minutes into this video, when i hear this song, Rebel Heart, by the irish band the Corrs i remember the roaring applause and cheers and seeing the high school audience full of peers stand up, and it's my youngest daughter's voice i can hear the loudest, cheering, whooping it up and clapping. she was always cheering everyone on, full of life and enthusiasm, and remembering this golden moment reminds me, to keep on cheering, hoping and living life like there is no tomorrow.
