Marketing Danica: Pharmaceutical champagne bubbles and COPD dreams

VIA John Mack from the pharmaceutical marketing industry, based on his opinion and desire to expose the transparency in pharmaceutical marketing.

Danica's advertising is a fine example of how an illness is promoted, and a drug is pimped while other investors make $$$$$$$

"pimping" may be the right word here.

Perhaps I'm being harsh, but as you know I'm heartily sick of Ms. Patrick.

Funny thing here, but every COPD patient that I have heard from (and I am on internet support groups with thousands of people with COPD) is enthusiastic and grateful for this publicity.
COPD is the fourth largest cause of death in the world, but is very rarely covered by the media. Surveys show that most people have not even heard about this disease, which is treatable and preventable (and NOT only caused by smoking).
It may be largely funded by a drug company, but it is supported significantly by many COPD support groups and I am not talking about 'astroturf' groups here.
